Hello there! I'm Teri Biven, a seasoned healthcare professional with nearly three decades of diverse experience in the field. My true passion lies in acute care and outpatient wound management, and I'm thrilled to bring my expertise to your service. 

As a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Wound Management, I've been at the forefront of this specialized area since 2000. Currently overseeing a progressive  wound and hyperbaric medicine service-line in metro- Atlanta, GA where I've played a pivotal role in growing our Wound Care service line from a team of 3 to over 35 dedicated staff members. Together, we provide comprehensive wound care, pressure injury monitoring and prevention, and hyperbaric medicine services for both acute care hospital patients and those attending our bustling outpatient clinic. 

Being a Certified Wound Specialist since 2004 and a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists since 2008, I stay committed to excellence in my field. A recent accomplishment includes becoming a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Wound Management with the APTA, where I also contribute as a clinical content expert on the Item Writing Committee for the specialty board examination, with a most recent appointment on the Specialty Council for Wound Management. 

In addition to my hospital role , I'm passionate about education. Serving as adjunct faculty at Baylor University and holding an adjunct clinical assistant professorship at Mercer University, College of Health Professionals, I actively serve as Program Coordinator for the Residency program in Wound Management. 

Beyond my professional pursuits, family remains at the heart of everything I do. My husband, Louis, and I have shared 26 wonderful years together, and one of our greatest joys has been supporting our son, Sam, as he pursues his professional soccer career in Germany.

When I'm not immersed in the world of healthcare, I enjoy traveling and discovering new places, attending live music events, exploring the outdoors through walking and hiking, and embracing new challenges, including learning to play the piano. I'm also an enthusiastic soccer fan and love cheering on Atlanta United. These experiences keep me grounded, inspired, and continually reminded of the importance of living life with curiosity, passion, and purpose.
